Christmas Ornaments: Mini Yarn Wreaths

I absolutely adore yarn wreaths.

I also absolutely adore anything that is miniature.
So, with sticking with yesterdays theme {Christmas ornaments}, I am pleased to introduce you to my newest love.

This project actually started out as a means for recycling.
I have hoards and hoards of cardboard boxes left over.
{because i finally unpacked the office/craft room}
After much thought and looking around my craft room I decided this was it!

Trace or free hand circles on your cardboard.
Don't forget the inner circles too.
You should have little "doughnuts".
Don't judge my circles, they are.....abstract....

Wrap your doughnuts with in yarn.
I wrapped mine twice for extra plumpness.

seriously. cute.

Embellish your cute little wreaths with buttons, flowers, lace, bunting, gems, etc.
I used book pages for my flower.
I have such a hard time tearing pages from books so this was my first book page flower.
I finally broke down and bought a one dollar book from goodwill to tear apart.
I admit, it was hard.... that poor book.
Glue a loop of yarn to the back of the wreath to hang it.

Admire.
