Thankful Thursday with The Fontenot Four: Grace Upon Grace.

This has been a trying week, and it is only Thursday. Last week was spring break, which means I spent the whole time on my couch with a bag of tortilla chips. and naps. There were glorious naps involved. This week has been such a rush back into the daily grind, but boy is it worth it. This week I am so thankful for the grace my husband gives me. He works so hard to provide for us so I can spend my time focusing on school. This week not only have I been a mess in sweat pants glued to my textbooks, I have been a dinner prep failure, and a midnight homeworker. My husband has been so kind in giving me grace at every corner, just as Jesus has given me grace. He has seen my failures and continues to love me anyway. He has picked me up when I have so clearly fallen. I am blessed to have married a man such as him. Lord, thank you for my husband and the grace you have put in his heart.
thankful thursday
What are you thankful for?

  1. I love how your husband is showing you Jesus through his actions towards you. Isn't it wonderful to be married to a Godly man? I also am a dinner prep failure on many occasions, you are not alone!:)

  2. I have so many plans and desires to be this awesome wife who makes awesome dinners every night.. but as my instagram truly points out.... I am in need of that grace, and a drive thru. p.s. I am really excited to work on your Doxie order today!

  3. Aleks - I visited from Thankful Thurs. this morning after leaving a comment for Sarah. Funny, mine was so similar to what you have shared above. I am so grateful for the grace which is given to us exactly when we need it and in order to get through difficulties. I think this is my 1st time visiting you & I am glad to have been here!
    Blessings, Joanne

  4. Amen to everything you just said!! I think before I got married I thought I was going to have perfectly manicured toes, our house was going to be immaculate, with a chalkboard menu board (where every night I would make something from scratch) and I would welcome Josh home with a kiss and a freshly baked pie... I am learning grace not perfection... and honestly the imperfect stuff makes me giggle sometimes. I am so excited for my friend to get your lovely creation!!! (Sorry for the novel length comment:)

  5. Love this, Aleks. Thanks so much for linking up. I have needed a bit of grace (or maybe a lot) this week. I am thankful for grace for sure. Love the picture in your post. Our church is in in the middle of a series on Esther right now. Very interesting. Have a beautiful day!

Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.
